Digital asset management

ISG produced a large volume of digital marketing assets such as project photography, bid content and videos from across the global business. Operating through a number of remote teams these assets had traditionally been stored locally. Recognising the business, brand and efficiency opportunities associated with a single, organisation-wide digital asset management system I took a lead in building the business case for, and subsequent migration to a specialised third party product.
Working as a small team of primary stakeholders we conducted the following programme:

-
Needs assessment and definition
-
Business case development
-
Product scoping and procurement
-
Development of system structure
-
Asset identification, transfer and tagging
-
Work-flow / process design
-
Recruitment and training of 'super users' from across business.
-
Launch comms and wider-training
-
On-going management
On launch the Hive contained over 100,000 digital assets comprising photos, graphics, written content and videos. With strong adoption from across the business this number grew to over 300,000 during the first six months. In addition to standard DAM features the Hive, powered by Canto, enabled:

-
Direct asset linking from InDesign and website
-
Smart automated tagging and facial recognition
-
Preset image re-sizing for social media
